As we continue to enhance our standards inside the classrooms in our Sand Creek Zone schools during school hours, we strive to lead in the same manner during non-school hours (Before and After). It is with great excitement, that we announce Kids’ Corner Before and After School Program. Kids’ Corner is operated by Falcon School District 49’s Sand Creek Zone. Our programs will be offered at: Remington, Springs Ranch and Evans International Elementary Schools.
While our relationship with Champions Extended Learning has been a great partnership over the years, our decision to assume management of the program lies with our desire to benefit student achievement. Monies generated by the program, over and above operating costs, will go directly back into each school. Whether purchasing additional books, technology or other equipment, your student(s) will benefit directly from Kids’ Corner.
District 49 is embarking on the development of our new web site. With this creation, Kids’ Corner will have its own page that will include information such as: the ability to enroll, make payments and view our activity calendars.
Knowing that our families are expecting to plan for their before and after school needs for the 2014-2015 school year, Mr. Sean Dorsey, Sand Creek Zone Innovation Leader, will be hosting an open-house and enrollment event to discuss the new Kids’ Corner program, its offerings and 1st semester calendar. As a parent of a student/students in the Sand Creek Zone, you will receive an invitation to attend these open-houses (three before school starts). Our first one will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 5:30pm at Sand Creek High School.
We are pleased to offer free registration for all families who attend the enrollment session of May 22nd at Sand Creek High School and our summer open houses too.
If you have any questions please contact Bonnie Nugent at email@example.com
To ensure that we end the school year with all the student’s meal accounts current and not requiring funds from the District’s general fund to pay off unpaid meal charges, we enact a "No Charging" policy. This year the No Charging policy will go into effect May 5th. Your student’s lunch account will remain active throughout their time in the Falcon School District and any money left on the account or owed on the account at the end of the school year will be rolled over for to next year.
